Cutting Dredge Pontoons Modification - Beam Increasing

In order to improve the buoyancy condition at the bow of the dredge, the company MINEROS ALUVIAL S.A.S. has been developing the corresponding engineering to find a satisfactory solution that allows increasing the bow freeboard of the dredge for the condition where the scale is at 0 m.

Solution

The solution accepted so far is the insertion of a longitudinal channel or strip in each pontoon, which would increase the beam and consequently improve the overall buoyancy of the dredge and, as a result, its freeboards.
